PinWindow is designed as a local macOS utility. It does not create user accounts and does not automatically collect analytics, telemetry, screenshots, screen recordings, or window contents.
PinWindow requests Screen Recording permission so it can discover and capture the specific windows you choose to pin as live previews. Captured content is used locally to display pinned previews on your Mac. PinWindow does not upload screen content anywhere.
PinWindow may request Accessibility permission so clicking a pinned preview can activate the original source window. Accessibility access is used only for this window-activation behavior and is not used to record keystrokes or control unrelated content.
PinWindow includes a user-initiated Send Feedback action. When you choose to send feedback, PinWindow prefills an email with basic diagnostic information such as app version, macOS version, architecture, permission states, shortcut action, pinned-window count, and the latest known selection, capture, or activation issue. The email is sent only if you choose to send it from your email client. PinWindow does not automatically upload feedback or diagnostics, and the prefilled diagnostics never include screenshots, screen content, or window titles.
PinWindow provides a user-initiated Rate PinWindow action using Apple's StoreKit review prompt. Apple controls whether the prompt is shown; PinWindow receives no information about your rating.
If PinWindow's data practices ever change, this policy will be updated before those changes ship, and the app's App Store privacy labels will be updated to match.
